Oasis for Girls: a rebrand for the next generation of women

OVERVIEW

Oasis for Girls is an inspiring Bay Area non-profit that provides after school programs for young women of color, ages 14-18, from under-resourced communities in San Francisco. My work with the team focussed on a brand redesign that would feel approachable and trustworthy for generations to come.

OPEN FOR ALL

The O logomark was depicts a sturdy entrance to reflect capable experience in providing a safe platform for girls. It’s reliable and solid, while still being inviting, acting as a constant reminder that you belong here.

VIBRANT VISUALS

We decided to stick with a familiar color palette, with nods to the original branding in the use of our updated shade creamsicle. The vibrancy of the new shades of purple offered a delightful compliment, and gave us more room to play with a new illustration style.

A WARMLY APPROACHABLE WEBSITE

Finally, I partnered with Oasis to update their website in preparation for the rebrand launch. We were able to bring in photography to highlight the diversity and personality of Oasis’ members.

A TREMENDOUS THANK YOU

A huge thanks to the entire oasis team, especially my partner-in-crime Anu Menon. It was an absolute joy to collaborate with y’all, and it’s been amazing to continue to cheerlead you from afar.
